Resources for Defense Attorneys

Please contact the ADA assigned to a case if you need the video conference link for any court date.

With more and more cases being handled remotely, cases cannot be handled on the scheduled day if the necessary forms are not filled out and provided to the DA's Office BEFORE the day of court.

Instructions from the Superior Court Judges: Both Newton and Walton County courthouses require a medical screening and masks to enter the courthouses. Any attorney may request that they appear via video conference. The defendant must agree to the attorney appearing via video conference. The attorney must contact the District Attorney's Office by no later than noon on the day before court to let them know that the attorney will be attending court remotely. The District Attorney's Office shall provide the login credentials to the attorney. Attorneys appearing remotely must be dressed as if they were physically present in the courtroom.
